724wd
i looked on brownells site (not at home with the book) and didnt find the stone listed that i believe Z recommended. i just know it's got Crystalon on one side and India on the other and was big enough to do a receiver. anyone have a part #? Doble Troble
I believe that ENCO sells them, but I also looked them up following Z1R's recommendation and they seemed to have a better selection. Unfortuneately I don't remember what that source was. Something like MSC? Maybe this? Don't remember for sure...
Rhys898
Try this one http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT?PMAKA...08444&PMCTLG=00 if you follow the "View product in catalog" link it lists it as crystalon but if you search on their site for crystalon it says "huh?" Hope this helps Jer
724wd
hmmm.... those seem like they'd work, but i thought there was one that was india on one side and crystalon on the other - or does that really matter, as long as it's got fine/course grit? z1r
This is the combo stone I'd probably get: http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT?PMAKA...39704&PMCTLG=00 it's a coarse & fine india stone. the crystalon wears quickly. they are good for the really rough crests but wear quickly and loose thier shape. get the cheap ones if you have a lot of roughing to do. then follow up with the india stones.
