If it looks dirty it is, been trying to fit a new holster to it, so there is leather junk all over it, its not rust. Started off as a 7 1/2" i traded a p22 for. All new Powers internals, 2# 7oz no take up trigger. Cut barrel down to 4 5/8" and re crowned. Wanted a fiber optic front sight so I made a new base to accept William's or Marble's sights. Bead blasted frame and barrel. Still have to polish cylinder, gate, and ejector housing. The only thing I would do different is to remove the warning label while I had the barrel out.
