tinkerfive
OK I understand that large ring and small ring actions are called that because the front rings are different diameters and therefore require a different scope base to fit the different diameters. So when I see mounts for 93,95 they are different from a 98. So can someone explain why I see some mounts listed as for 95 / 98? The only way that I can see that work is with shims. Sailormilan2
Either a typo, or refering to a small ring 98.

z1r
I have purchased several Leupold 1 piece base that were for Mauser 95-98 Leupold makes 2 1 pc mounts (excluding matte vs gloss) for the Std 98. One fits an unaltered rear bridge, the other is for FN or altered 98's. They also make a 93-98 model which fits small ring 98's.
