Several months ago I posted some pics of an intermediate FN receiver with the serial number of "1"

Today I was looking at a stock for it and made a realization.

Of course the screw spacing wasn't 7-7/8 but then again neither was it 7-3/8; it was 7-5/8.

Anyone know anything about intermediate length actions with 7-5/8 screw spacing?

I haven't heard of this combination before.

Kuhnhausen lists 4 lengths, or rather, screw spacings.

7.835"....Standard 98 actions(commonly referred to as 7 7/8")

7.620"....Intermediate length actions(commonly referred to as 7 5/8")

8.207"....Commercial Magnum Mauser action(8 3/16"?)

7.225"....Commercial Kurz(short) action(7 7/32"?)
