BEJ
A friend was given recently a "Bryco 38" (.380) semi-auto pistol. The gun has no slide release nor the ability for the slide to "lock back" after firing the last magazine round. Why were pistols designed in such a way ? Guess I'm used to the Colt .45s and their design

Dr.Hess
I can't say I've really ever heard anything good about the whole Jennings/Bryco/etc. line.
BEJ
http://www.geomadre.com/bryco.htm http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Bryco_Arms Good articles. Think I'll stay home the day my friend wants to shoot the "Bryco".

BEJ
There may be a user's manual here. http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm Yes, there is one under "Jennings". Just a minimal "manual" but some information. Thanks for the tip !!!
