The slave owner, just has to have slaves, it makes him feel important, gives him a feeling of being a "master". Slaves are just too lazy or dumb or fearful. They want "the master" to take care of them. Freemen want to be neither slave or master. They need no one to bow to them, in fact they don't like bows. They bow only to God. Freemen are hated by both slaves and masters. Slaves hate the freemen, since they both envy him and yet fear that he will take the master away. Masters hate the free man since he wont bow to them and worse points out that they "put their pants on like everybody else".
