karlunity
I am taking part in the Decathlon this year and the topic is "American Ideals". I covered all the obvious ones:..Bill of Rights..personal freedom..right to bear arms..own property and vote etc..but I am looking for any new ideas. Any help would be kind of you. 8uck5nort
FC already brought up fiscal policy, but this is an elaboration upon that theme. The ballooning federal debt threatens to enslave us all to the government. Tax burden was the catalyst for the founding of our country 200 years ago. Now we live with a burnden many multiples of the original burden. Our childrens children will be endentured before they are even born if we let the governement continue spending under their current fiscal policy. The government is creating a modern form of serfdom. Very good point...........One of my grandfathers came through Ellis Isl. in the 1920's. After a miserable voyage stacked like cordwood in the hold of a ship. Quarenteen and language lessons. Once he left the Island he considered himself an American not a BLEEPING HYPHEN.
