karlunity Posted January 2, 2012 Report Share Posted January 2, 2012 It is a mistake to focus on the man and not the policy. Example: Our goal in Europe in WW ll was to defeat Hitler..so far so good. Yet, we became so focused on defeating Adolf that we forgot the reason for defeating him which was to protect freedom form the evils of totalitarianism and in forgetting gave half of Europe to Stalin and the Commies. Freedom? It was buried in Eastern Europe for 50 years. We cannot get so focused on defeating Mr. Obama that we forget WHY we want to defeat him and in doing so replace a Dem progressive with a GOP progressive. He inspires strong emotions both ways, but as Spiris eloquently points out that should be our one and only goal. Obama must be a one term president. Absolutely on both counts.
