Anti gunner from chicago or an anti gunner from massachucettes (or is it salt lake)

Socialist from chicago or an elitist from massachucettes (or is it salt lake)

Not much of a choice.

I'm still writing in Ron Paul.

Writing in RP is making a statement. I made a statement once and voted for Ross Perot as did approx 25% of voters that year. Only after the fact did I figure out that by voting for someone who has no chance in hell of getting elected did I actually cast my vote for Clinton. See how that worked out?

If you are going to vote for RP [who I personally have much respect for] you could save yourself some time by not voting at all.

Statements of this type might just as well be written in sand at low tide.

I hear you. I trust Mitt only a cats whisker more than Obama.

I was going to write in RP. It was Obama's idea of getting rid of most of our atomic weapons, 200 or less was what he said his goal was, that pushed me over the edge.

Only thing that worries me now is pols, being what they are, Mitt wins signs an agreement with the UN or the Russians to do the same thing. Still he may be honest for the first four years....I hope.

I feel EXACTLY the same, pacrat. I voted for Perot, and all it got me was 8 years of Klinton. Screw that, that ain't gonna happen again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I agree Ken, Im doing the same thing, george w. bush forever cured me from voting for the "lesser" of two evils. I'm writing in Ron Paul. Honestly though I think the time has long passed to fix this country through the ballot box.

You guys can do what you like, but I still think your`re making a big error. I have a couple of gun & shooting buddy`s down here that lived in Mass when Mitt was Gov. They have nothing but good to say about him. You forget he was a Rep & just about everyone under him was a Dem. So it was a little hard to change some of there dumb a** gun laws that they have.

Communism or no Communism- don't waste your vote.

I agree, like the previous posters I voted for Perot and even donated a $100 to his campaign. We can argue that 3rd party Perot got us Clinton but on the other hand Ralph Nader's Florida votes possibly saved us from an Al Gore. I'm a Ron Paul type but now have an anybody but Obama attitude.

By writing in RP you are consciously deciding to vote for 4 more years of O-hole. Might as well write in Mickey Mouse. Because bottom line is that you are either for or against O-hole. Sadly it is nothing less than "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation. The naive "making of futile statements" is one of the many reasons this great nation is quickly slipping into a liberal abyss where Lib-Tard politicos are allowed to use Tax Dollars to buy votes with.

Except for the Gipper years, it has been the lesser of evils since Ike was in the White House.

Making futile statements written in sand will not change it now.

Flush your God given right to vote down O-holes toilet if you choose.

Wow, the peer pressure is so great, what shall I ever do? Romney is every bit the Marxist Obama is. Obama is every bit the same as Bush.

"By writing in RP you are consciously deciding to vote for 4 more years of O-hole"............. Nope I'm against Obama AND Romney. I would rather risk four more years of Obama, than risk a possible eight years of Romney.

"The naive "making of futile statements" is one of the many reasons this great nation is quickly slipping into a liberal abyss where Lib-Tard politicos are allowed to use Tax Dollars to buy votes with."...........The country has been flushed down the shitter. Because so called "conservatives" will shun a strict constitutionalist who has a long voting record to support his words....

"Flush your God given right to vote down O-holes toilet if you choose." ...........those were flushed when computer voting machines took over.

So if you wish, vote for:

Marxist, A: An African, Marxist, and closet Muslim.

Or,

Marxist, B: A pseudo wannabe Mexican, Marxist, and member of a weirdo cult.

I'm choosing a different path.

You can write in "None of the Above" and really blow their minds. Or just leave it blank. That'll show 'em!

We have a two-party system in this country. Short of anarchy, there is no other "path". Well, you could always move to another country, I guess.

I'm not enamored with either candidate, either. But I have to pick a direction. It's the lesser of two evils.

"We have a two-party system in this country. Short of anarchy, there is no other "path"".

You are a smarter guy than me. Can you help me out and reference where in the the U.S. Constitution it says we have a two party system? That we have no option other than that?

"Well, you could always move to another country"

So I write in a vote for a Constitutionalist, over Communist one or Communist two, and I should to get the F@*k out? Do you know how stupid that sounds?

"where in the the U.S. Constitution it says we have a two party system?"

It doesn't state it in the Constitution. I only have history to rely on; this country has had a "two-party" system since its inception. We have a "winner-takes-all" electoral college. Spoils to the victor. Loser is S-O-L. Always has been.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_party_system

"and I should to get the F@*k out? Do you know how stupid that sounds?"

The only thing that "sounds stupid" is wasting a vote for a candidate that has NO opportunity whatsoever. I'm sure the winning candidate will reflect highly on those losing votes while sipping some fine whiskey in the Oval Office. I don't think anyone should leave the USA because of differing opinions; I was only reflecting on the futility of voting options for third party candidates. People don't usually leave because a candidate loses; Alec Baldwin would be in France right now otherwise.

"So I write in a vote for a Constitutionalist, over Communist one or Communist two"

You can vote for or write-in whoever you want. Vote for the Green Party, Libertarian Party, Constitution Party, Opus and Bill, or whatever. If you think it makes a difference in national elections, good for you. Ralph Nader and Ron Paul have been the perpetual losing candidates for years.... "Maybe in the next election".

Now, local elections.... That's another issue. Third-party candidates can make significant inroads at both city and state levels. Those local candidates and their new ideas can sway the views of major parties. Remember: the Republican Party was the champion of African-Americans after the Civil War, while Democrats opposed the "Carpet-Baggers" ruining the existing oppressive establishment. Times do change indeed.

I'm not using any profanity and I have no rage in my heart. I realize that changing set minds can be a wasted effort.

There is one thing we both can agree on.

You go ahead and vote for George H.W. W. ClinRomnBama, I will vote for Ron Paul. I will leave Ralph Nader in the 1960's where you reside.

Sirs.

I respect your views. but Mr. Romney, while not much better than Mr. Obama, is a bit better and I shall have to hope for the best.

karl

Fellas.

Think about this before the end of voting.

I think that this is going to be either a landslide or very very close and I just spoke with two old friends back east. One is a diehard supporter of Mr. Obama, so no surprise that and his family will vote for Mr. Obama.

But another friend, who will vote for Mr. Obama surprised me.

We may well need all the votes we can get. If Romney turns bad we can vote him out in 4. But we KNOW where Mr. Obama is going to try and go.

Take Care

Yeah, they both suck. The time to vote for Paul or whoever is in the primary. The main election is between 2, pick the least suck. One is a Lifetime NRA member. The other:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/01/debate-answer-on-assault-weapons-ban-could-cause-problems-for-obama/?test=latestnews

President Obama may have been tossing a bone to his base, but one answer in the second presidential debate could come back to haunt him with a key voter group -- gun owners.

When asked what the administration has done or plans to do to limit assault weapons at the Oct. 16 debate, Obama said part of the solution to gun violence "is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced."

I'm going to go ahead and offend. Anybody that thinks that Romney is little different than Obama, and thinks Romney is Marxist is wearing the Ron Paul tin hats! For Pete's sake, watch the debates, watch 2016, and read conservative news outlets! Romney is far more Constitutionalist than Obama, and stubbornness is the issue. So what? I wanted Bachman or Santorum! Am I saying that I'm going to write them in? Nope!

No offense taken at all. I have very thick skin and I am sure most here will think a thick head as well, but that's okay. We just do not agree plain and simple. If it will ease everyones mind, lets say for the sake of argument every Ron Paul supporter in the state Texas cast their vote for Obama on Tuesday. There is no way in hell Obama will carry Texas. No Democrat has won a statewide election here in 18 years! The last Democratic presidential candidate to win Texas was 36 years ago! That is not going to change anytime soon. So everyone relax.
