I work at the big UPS hub in mesquite, near dallas, we stopped sending trucks towards houston as of wednesday, and all the trucks from elswhere to anywhere south of Lufkin come to us now. We have as of today leased the Bigtown Mall parking lot for our overun of trailers, and do not expect the space to last long. We are expecting over 600 extra trailers to stockpile on friday. I also heard to expect 60+ mph winds in our area by tuesday. Yikes, this thing is a monster. Good luck to every one else in its path. Im 60 SE of dallas on cedar creek lake. Ive canceled my day at the range this weekend already.

Im getting the stuff together for fiinishing my 25-06, the action will be back to me next week from Skaggs Gunsmithing, and I'm getting a stock from richards microfit, in the tiger wood laminate. My question is what finish to use on the wood, so as not to darken it much if any, I would like it to be as transparent as possble without actually stainging the wood. I used a clear satin on another laminate, in camo, and it darkened it quite a bit. heres a pic of the wood Im dealing with and what Id like it to end up like, Thank You

dont think you said it, Tangle mentioned useless weld,but he has alot more expreience with welding than I do, Im not trying to argue, just was stating Ive had no problems, and its sturdy. And its all I ve got. Im sure later on Ill try out a TIG and never go back

well I think its entirely different situation, and not down playing either one, they are probably by far the 2 biggest tragedies in the US in my lifetime. In NYC, the city was not destroyed, but basically New Orleans is gone. In NYC the country and the city united to help, in NO, everyone wants out, and the rest have turned into animals trying to benefit themselves. Thats a terrible thing to say, I know, but its a shame how a few "animals" have really made something that looks as bad as bad can possibly be, even worse. I feel for the homeless and the ones that have lost loved ones, but the "looters" and the animals wll all get there time in Hell.

I like what the TIG does, but when all you got is a MIG, ya use the MIG. I dont know about it being a useless weld, and I do know it is on there good. I have no concern whatsoever of it failing me. I had a stuck bolt a couple of months ago, actually used a tire tool to get that bolt open, and I actually broke the bolt handle, but I didnt break the weld. I do not think the weld is goin to break charging grizzly, charging rhino, Panzer tank, whatever. I see the benefits of the TIG so dont get me wrong, but the MIG is doin fine for me. Thats what I use just because that is what I have. And its done fine, honestly.

went up again today here. another 12 cents. 2.79 for the cheap stuff. Filled up the Fn150 for $63, after adding a Dr Pepper to the bill (which hasnt gone up by the way) I noticed I had just spent enought to buy a another mauser, just to get home. yikes

gas shot up 18 cents whil I was at work today, was 2.49 for the "cheap" stuff at 11am and 2.67 at 9:30. I have an hours drive each way to work, and I fill up every for days, it sucks. I moved out to the country in May, 54 miles from my work, and gas has gone up over .70 in those 4 months
