post your gun pics please

What you have to have is a picture hosting site such as www.picturetrail.com

I know there are others, but don't know the hosting services right off. On picture trail what I have to do is go to "find URL's", I right click on the URL, click "copy", then paste it here. I know Yahoo supports picture hosting too.

I would prefer posting regular gun pictures on "Hobbies and Pictures" forum, unless it is a sporterized rifle, which could go here, or, say, if a Mauser in original condition, under the Mauser forum.

If you would, we'd like to see pictures of your collections. Go to Hobbies and Pictures near the bottom of the forums. Of course, sporters can go here.

FC,

Could you explain to me again how to do that? Do I still need to go to a hosting site and add a URL?

Thanks,

Brad

TEASE!!?? I'm drooling on my keyboard, your photo borders on pornagraphic!! BS aside , nice job, please post the finished product and hopefully the group censor will allow it. I'm not only envious of your action but covet your artistic skills as well.

Custom mounts should fit better than that. Look at the gap on the front ring. Custom mounts should practically appear seemless. The recoil shoulder of the rear mount should be at the front and not the rear of the base. The rings will want to move forward under recoil not backward.

Still, a very nice piece of work from an artistic standpoint.

I have looked at the mounts and as far as the recoil shoulder on the rear mount, if you look at the one on the front it faces the opposite direction, therefore the scope is not going to move forward or backwards. The guy has a beautiful rifle in the making there and I would be damn proud to own it. swamp_thing

Most of what you see in the picture is shadow, the bases have a very tight fit.

The rear shoulder is there to hold scope if it gets bumped from the front. Most people that build these never take that into consideration. Warne, Talley and the guy that built these think it's important, So do I.

Please share some of your's with us.

Here is a picture of the pattern I built for it. It started out as a BRNO 21H small ring stock. I had to stretch and widen it in the action area, I made it 1" longer in the forearm, I shortened the grip by 1/2" and took a full 1" of drop out of the butt. Needless to say there is more bondo there than wood tongue.gif . It's being turned right now, I should have it back in a couple of weeks.

Terry,

It's a beautiful rifle for sure. But, didn't Mike Scherz do the metal work? You seem to be giving the impression that you did the work.

It will look very good in that circassian that's for sure. Congrats on a fine rifle. 9.3x62? Nice caliber too.

Please show me where I said I did the metal work!

David Gentry did most of what you see and Micheal Sherz did the bases. I built the stock pattern and Jeff Smith will be turning the blank. I purposely didn't want to drop names as it's Mr. Gentry took 1 1/2 yrs to do the barreled action and Michael Scherz keep the gun for over a year. He has recently moved to Phoenix and wait times will be longer in the future.

Again, please tell me where I gave you the impression I did the work? Got anything you want share with us or do you just want to argue with me?

"Tease" is right, Terry-

You're shameless.

I'm not certain I've ever seen an '09 action that clean.

Is the magazine/triggerguard commercial, or just the straddle plate?

This is "TC1," right?

Good to see you posting here, Terry.
