Dr.Hess
That's a good idea. But the true "better" way to pull bullets is with a collet puller. I hate the kinetic kind. Always ends with my hand hurting.
AzRednek
I couldn’t find it but about 10 years ago somebody on a gun board showed photos of setting off a cartridge using a shell holder instead of the PIA collet in a RCBS kinetic puller. The primer wasn’t seated flush and the shell holder bit the edge of the primer and boom. Despite me having used a shell holder for years with no problems I stopped after reading the post. The cartridge igniting blew both ends of the hammer head out. Simply to risky in my mind.

donmarkey
I use and like this puller. Hornady 050095 Cam Lock Bullet Puller https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PCZZO4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ta8bEbE58YHY0
Dr.Hess
That is EXACTLY the one I use, Don, even down to buying it from Amazon. Works great.
AzRednek
I saw a video where the Hornady bullet puller was used to apply a crimp on an obsolete straight wall cartridge. I think it was a Larry Potterfield of MidwayUSA fame that did the video.
