Back From Antelope Hunt

You guys did very well. I have never hunted antelope, but they sure look like trophies to me. Hunting them looks and sounds like fun and they look tastey too! Are they a similar in taste as whitetail deer?

Great job!

What did you use for rifles / loads?

 

My son and his friend (I didn't get a picture of his friends antelope) were both using Remington 300 Win. Mags with factory ammo.

 

I used my P14 Enfield 7mm Rem. mag with handloaded 139 gr Hornadys and Weaver used a Ruger tang safety 300 win. mag with his handloads to shoot his buck.

 

All shots were long. Mine was probably the shortest and it was close to 400 yds.

 

We all had a great time.

400 yards is pretty impressive.

I can barely see that far, never mind hitting something with a rifle! :D
