Action Screw Questions

Are the 2 action screws (screw the action to the stock) the same on both '95 and '98 Mausers? I can only seem to find "Mauser screws".

Also: what are "locking" screws?

Thanks.

Yep,

Screws are the same, only the names were changed to protect the innocent. :D

Keep in mind that with dozens of armories the world over making millions of rifles for over 60 yrs there are at times slight differences in lenght. The rear screw on my 93 is about 1/8 longer than my VZ24.

Threads are all the same but the heads are smaller on the pre-98s. At least on the one's I've used. Easy to turn down though.

Don

Ditto.

That has been my experience also.
