karlunity
CG. What is the story about Guns in Canada? What are you allowed and what must you do to keep the Gov happy? We are told by the media here that folks in England and Canada are not allowed any "guns" yet you and Kevin have fine collections. Take care Karl
Gothmog
Well, Kevin is prohibited from handgun ownership as that was banned in the UK a few short years ago. We in Canada can still own pistols, rifles and shotguns. Certain models are banned for a variety of 'reasons', ie- too short, too military looking, wrong caliber but there is little common sense or consistency to it. For example, handguns with barrels shorter than 4.25" or caliber.25 or .32 are banned (current owners can retain them) and AK47s are banned ... on the other hand I can own AR15's and all the 45's and 9mm's and 38 caliber handguns I can afford to buy. Gothmog
Ok, a couple I picked up recently ... A S&W Model 10 with a 4" barrel ... this one is double action only and has the nicest DA revolver trigger I've ever pulled. A nice Rossi stainless .22 ... anyone know anything about these? Gothmog
The two revolvers I just posted pics of, btw are now 'prohibited' in Canada ... barrels are 'only' 4" in length, therefor the gun has no possible legal use.
FC
We call those "unfunded mandates". You have to do what the "gub-mint" says (give up your guns), and you don't get paid for your loss, right?
Gothmog
You got that right, FC ...
